Pilot3D is an advisory situational-awareness aid for pilots — a 3-D airspace, terrain and traffic display. It is not a certified navigation system and must not be used as a primary means of navigation, terrain avoidance, or airspace clearance. The pilot in command is solely responsible for the safe and legal operation of the aircraft; always rely on official charts, current NOTAMs, ATC, and certified aircraft instruments. Use of this app is entirely at your own risk, and its developer accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or violation arising from its use.
Signing in uses Google Sign-In. Pilot3D receives your Google account's email address and uses it only to:
We do not receive or store your Google password, contacts, or any Google data beyond that one email address. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with data brokers.
When you choose GPS mode, Pilot3D reads your device's location to compute your aircraft's position on the display. That position is used on your device to look up nearby airspace, airports, terrain and traffic from public aviation data sources (the FAA's own open-data services, OurAirports, and public ADS-B aggregators), relayed through our own backend only to keep those requests reliable — it is not logged or stored against your identity anywhere on our servers. In Simulator mode, no real location is used at all.
Pro subscriptions are billed by Stripe. Pilot3D never receives or stores your card number or other payment details — that is handled entirely on Stripe's own systems. We receive only confirmation that a subscription is active, tied to your email, so we can issue a signed entitlement token that your device checks offline.
Flight data, offline map/airspace caches, and app settings are stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB) so the app can work offline. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is removed if you clear your browser's site data or uninstall the app.
Our backend is a small, stateless relay: it verifies sign-ins and subscriptions with Google and Stripe, proxies traffic/NOTAM lookups to public aviation data sources, and serves the app's files. It keeps no database of user accounts or flight history. Ordinary web server logs (IP address, requested path, timestamp) are retained briefly by our hosting provider, Vercel, for operational and security purposes, per Vercel's own privacy policy.
Pilot3D is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
